We celebrated another year of exceptional A Level success as our pupils received a superb set of results that reflect on their hard work.
This year’s cohort achieved its strongest A Level results in many years, outperforming national statistics especially at grades A*–A. This has opened doors to leading universities, higher and degree apprenticeships, and employment opportunities across a wide range of career pathways.

They have embraced every opportunity available to them and it has been a privilege to watch them mature into confident, compassionate young adults. George M – Distinction*, A, A, A progressing to Loughborough to study Accounting and Finance
Jasper P – A, A, A, A – progressing to Durham University to study Natural Sciences
Following a gap year, Alumni Theo D will also be taking the next exciting step by joining Cambridge University to study Architecture. We are delighted to see Theo progress to one of the world’s leading universities and look forward to seeing where this next chapter takes him.
Many pupils have secured places at their first-choice universities including Cambridge, Durham, Newcastle, Leeds, Bristol, Loughborough, Manchester, Lancaster, Queen Mary University of London and other leading institutions to study a diverse range of subjects including Medicine, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Maths, and Accounting and Finance. Others will begin competitive apprenticeships and professional pathways across a broad range of sectors.
Reflecting on what studying at WGS has taught them, Head of School George M said “Things will always go wrong but try to learn from your mistakes rather than feeling bad about them at the time.”
Jacob F added: “Balance your social life and your work and make sure you take up all the opportunities available to you”.
Emilia C reiterated “Hard work pays off. Push yourself, but make sure you balance it with time off”
Academic success is only one part of the Wisbech Grammar School experience. Alongside their studies, this year’s leavers have excelled in sport, music, drama, leadership, community service and enrichment activities, embodying the school’s commitment to developing well-rounded individuals who are ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.
