Working at Wisbech Grammar School

If you are a member of the Teaching Staff you will be expected to:

  • Teach and inspire our pupils with your subject and demonstrate passion and enthusiasm as you teach;
  • Be part of the School’s co-curricular activities programme adding a broad base to pupils interest and learning;
  • Be a form tutor supporting and guiding pupils;
  • Join in with our Sports curriculum and share a particular sporting expertise you may have.

If you are a member of the Support Staff you will be expected to;

  • Support pupils’ learning to create a positive learning environment;
  • Provide services to staff, pupils and parents that enable education and learning to take place;
  • Work with other Teaching and Support staff colleagues across the school.

Teaching Assistant (Mondays only) 8am – 4.30pm

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our Team of staff in our Prep School. This will be to support children in Prep 2 (KS1). You may also, from time to time, be asked to support other classes in the prep school. This post will involve a duty before the School day commences and help with an after School club.

Lunchtime Supervisor (Monday to Friday)

We are looking for a Lunchtime Supervisor to work during term time to supervise children at lunch and in their free time after lunch. Hours of work are 7.5 per week between 11.30am and 1.00pm.

Catering Assistant  (Monday to Friday) 10.00am – 3.00pm with 30 minutes lunch

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our busy Catering Team at the School. This is a term time plus one week contract. Working hours are 22.5 hours per week working from 10am – 3pm daily with a 30 minute lunch. There may be the option to work additional hours to support events and weekend fixtures. This would be confirmed on a week on week basis. It is expected that the post hold will work some of these events across the year to support the workings of this busy Catering Team.
