Whole School Open Day, Saturday 30th September, 9.30am to 12.30pm
Our next Open Day is coming soon! Please click here to register or head to our Open Days page from the menu above.
You will have the chance to have a tour of the school from our Kindergarten to 6th Form, meet our teaching staff and find out more about how we can help your child to reach their full potential. We have an outstanding record of academic success. This is driven by our timetable, enhanced by extensive enrichment opportunities, that allow children to explore their passions and challenge themselves beyond the confines of the classroom.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
Welcome to Wisbech Grammar School
Wisbech Grammar School is a community populated by individuals instilled with a sense of purpose and passion. We are proud to be one of the oldest academically selective HMC day schools in the country and in September 2019 we opened our first International Boarding House. Beneath the surface, key components explain why we continue to perform at the highest level with consistently very high pass rates and similar percentages of our pupils going on to study at their first choice university. We also send pupils to Oxbridge, Medical, Veterinary, and Dentistry school as well as Ivy League universities in America, every year.
Education at Wisbech Grammar School is a journey where each pupil learns to take responsibility for his or her own learning. We encourage pupils to be involved in all areas of the curriculum and part of our success is undoubtedly due to the commitment of the staff who are more than outstanding. Staff, like the pupils, are involved in teaching, sport, academic and pastoral leadership, clubs and societies.
What the Good Schools Guide Says
‘We have supportive teachers,’ said our guides. ‘I can’t fault the school academically,’ said every parent we spoke to. We get the impression from parents that the school’s purpose and intent has intensified, taking all with it. They have stiff competition from local grammars so have had to up their game, offering a well-rounded education, and parents appreciate this. ‘Confident children are what they produce, happy to stand up and speak in front of people…’
