It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with our Kindergarten Stars.

29th November 19

This week in Kindergarten the children have been enjoying a Christmas themed week of activities. As we are visiting Edina Court next Thursday, the children have been making gifts to take with them to the residents. Our main present that we have made is a hand-print wreath canvas. The children enjoyed getting their hands painted and then placing these on the canvas in a circle shape. To finish off our creation the children added red pom-poms onto the canvas to represent the berries.

The children have also created their very own wrapping paper; they used Christmas stamps to create a pattern on brown paper. The wrapping paper will then be used to wrap their Christmas gifts up in to take home.

As well as fun creative activities, we have also been using our ‘Christmas week’ to focus on our Maths. The children were given Christmas trees that had been cut up into sections and numbered from 1-10. They were then asked to put the Christmas tress in order and stick these down and then they were able to decorate these with white fingerprint snow.

The Kindergarten children have also been busy practising their songs for the nativity. The children joined Reception to Prep 2 on stage and were lucky enough to stay and watch the rest of the performance. All of the children enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to doing it ‘for real’ next week.
