2nd Form Pupil Madeline is a cut above the rest; donating her locks to ‘The Little Princess Trust’

Student at Wisbech Grammar School

Madeline, a 2nd Form pupil who joined WGS recently has demonstrated her caring nature and decided to approach ‘The Little Princess Trust’ in order to help other less fortunate children. She parted with her long hair which was all cut off and she came to school with a very short hairstyle. Her own hair will now be made into wigs for children who, due to cancer treatment, have lost their own hair… Madeline will definitely put a big smile on the faces of these brave children!

The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. Providing free real hair wigs is at the heart of what they do, but they also want to support the development of less aggressive and less toxic cancer treatments. In 2016, thanks to the huge efforts of their fantastic fundraisers, they were able to begin funding academics and organisations involved in researching the causes of paediatric cancer.

Everyone at WGS is very proud of Madeline and what a commendable deed of which you can be very proud.
