As part of our development plans for ‘building for the future’ we are excited to announce the first stage of completion, which are the new music rooms. The driving forces behind these development projects are twofold. Firstly, an improvement in Teaching and Learning and the classroom environment for pupils. Secondly, to begin the process of clustering departments into faculties in order to give subjects a clearer sense of identity and to create functional zones around the WGS campus. This gives the opportunity to really focus on subject areas that naturally complement and maximise opportunities across departments.
“The new music rooms are bright and spacious, giving the pupils a really lovely working environment. The dedicated spaces for group discussion and music technology are a wonderful addition to the department. Importantly, the acoustic is great too, which is fantastic for performances and music making in class. Being in the heart of the campus also means that everyone passing by gets to hear our young musicians”! Jane Missin Head of Music
As we continue to develop and improve the School site to support our innovative approach to learning, we will continue to share our completed development projects.
