Enrichment Lectures

Our 6th Form programme of learning is enriched in numerous ways, including discussion groups, enrichment lectures, and other activities outside of the classroom, such as the Poyser Group, field trips and educational visits.

To complement our A-level programme of study, we offer a series of enrichment lectures designed to challenge, inspire and broaden horizons. Approximately 15 talks are presented by visiting speakers each year on subjects which fall outside the boundaries of the curriculum and cross disciplinary boundaries. The aim of the enrichment lecture series is to push pupils out of their comfort zone and to allow them to gain an insight into a variety of experiences that our speakers are able to share with them. This target has certainly been achieved this year with speakers ranging from ex-England Cricket and Rugby International Alistair Hignall to Holocaust survivor Rudi

Oppenheimer along with lawyers, police officers, psychologists, physicists, mathematicians and gamers, amongst others, all at the top end of their field.

The benefits to our pupils are enormous and encourage the development of informed and well-rounded individuals with the tools required for their onward journey.
